Executive Summary: Introduction
The Executive Summary is the most important part of your business plan. It's the first part that potential investors will read, and if written poorly, it could be the last!
It is wise to complete your plan first, and always come back and do your Executive Summary last. Some people use the Executive Summary to get them started and revisit it at the end to make any adjustments.
This section should offer a brief synopsis of key ideas about your business proposition. A good Executive Summary explains your business in a way that piques readers' interest and inspires them to read on to find out more specific details about your plan. End your executive summary with a clear explanation of what you expect from a potential investor—i.e. how much capital you will need to fully fund your proposition.
